Serious Fun

San Lorenzo Valley Post

Co-founded October 2019 by Julie Horner and Mary Anderson. We’re ramping up a new resource for news, entertainment, and information sharing in the San Lorenzo Valley. Hand-crafted writing and a whole lot of local heart backed by the community. Website, e-newsletter, and print paper forthcoming. In the meantime, give us a like and a follow on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/santacruzmountainnews

Santa Cruz Mountain Bulletin

A privately owned volunteer-run print newspaper covering Felton, Ben Lomond, Boulder Creek, Brookdale, Scotts Valley, Lompico, Zayante, and surrounding locale.

I began volunteering for the Santa Cruz Mountain Bulletin in 2014 and was asked to write the Local Music and Local Art columns. A short while later I was asked to become copy editor, and then in 2017, I became the Managing Editor. I left the Bulletin after the September 2019 issue went to print to start a new news and information collective with Mary Andersen with backing from the community at large.
